Carolyn New York Swatches (More!)

Morning Vampies! Today I am going to show you the other three Carolyn New York swatches I took. It is a cold rainy grey day here and supposed to be the next couple days, so I thought these colors were fitting! I am hoping to somehow take new pics of the Color Club cremes so I can show you in decent lighting, but without my friend the sun around, it might be difficult! The Carolyn New York polishes all had fabulous consistency and application. All pics taken in sun with no top coat.

Handball Courts
This is a really nice silvery dove grey shimmery polish. It went on pretty sheer so it needed three coats. I love, love, love grey polish and was really pleased with this. For a second I thought it might be close to OPI's Sheer Your Toys, but no. This is more grey and doesn't have the red flecks that OPI's does. It is very close to RBL's Concrete Jungle, but this has shimmer whereas that is a creme.

Hangin On The Stoop
This is a great concrete grey creme. I'm a HUGE fan of concrete grey so I needed this one for my collection. It's pretty pigmented so only needed two coats. You may be thinking, is this close to RBL's Concrete Jungle or China Glaze Recycle? Well it actually is almost an exact dupe for Recycle. Recycle might be a smidgen darker grey. It is definitely darker than Concrete Jungle though so if you like grey's get 'em both!

Subway Surfing
Ahhh a beautiful silver/grey, yet again! This took three coats because it was a little sheer. It's a nice light grey base with lots of very fine silver and maybe green/pink fine shimmer. Now I am going to compare it to all my other colors like it. Compared to Misa Wishing On A Star, it's not as dark and doesn't have the massive fine silver glitter. Compare to CND's Hyde In The Dark, it's the same grey base but doesn't have the silver glitter. Compare to OPI's Brand New Skates, it's a darker grey and doesn't have the gold shimmer that OPI's does. Compared to ManGlaze Fuggen Ugly, it isn't matte and doesn't have the rainbow effect of shimmer. Compared to Lippmann's Hit Me With Your Best Shot, it doesn't have the steel blue effect that Lippmann's does.Compared to butter LONDON's Chimney Sweep, it's not quite as dark and doesn't have the fine multi-colored shimmer. So all in all, I would say this isn't a dupe for anything I currently own!

You can find Carolyn New York polishes on their website here. They are all $5.50 each.

Vamp it up!
